A huge THANK YOU to all the entrants who came and supported our first CKC field trial held at Springford Farms on Vancouver Island. It's been so long ago since a Pointing Dog field trial was held on the island, no one can seem to remember when the last one was.......

Mother nature cooperated with a fabulous weekend of sunshine and temperatures hitting up to 14 degrees C. The gallery was situated on a small bluff overlooking the birdfield, with the beautiful snowladen Mount Arrowsmith as the backdrop. Close by, seals heralded the arrival of the morning with their constant barking, and the frog population lulled us to sleep with a chorus of what sounded like millions of "ribbits"!

A BIG thank you to all of the volunteers and club members that made this happen. (Too many people to list!) This weekend would have not been the success it was without each and everyones effort. Jan Robinson, Pam McNally and Laurie Inrig for the fabulous food offered at the concession and Saturday evening social. Fresh Oysters, prawns, and salmon were the highlight of the buffet.
